Welcome to The Journaling Box. These Terms & Conditions outline how we operate, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you when you purchase from or subscribe to The Journaling Box.

By using our website or placing an order (including a subscription), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About The Journaling Box

The Journaling Box is a monthly self-care and journaling subscription based in Australia. Each box includes curated journaling and wellbeing items designed to help you slow down, reflect and recharge. References to “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Journaling Box. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.

2. Products and subscriptions

We currently offer: Ongoing subscriptions (month-to-month or 3 / 6-month options where available).

One-off boxes or products, when offered on the website.

Product photos and descriptions are indicative only. Items, colours and brands may vary slightly from box to box.

All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD)

3. Ordering and payment

Orders are placed via our website: thejournalingbox.com.au. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information at checkout.

We accept payment via the methods listed on the checkout page (e.g. credit card, debit card, PayPal – update to match yours).

Your order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation email.

4. Subscription billing

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled in line with these Terms.

Billing occurs: On the date you first subscribe; and Recurring on approximately the same date each month (or on the date stated for your plan — usually the 10th of each month).

By starting a subscription, you authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Fixed-term subscriptions (3-month or 6-month plans)

If you choose a 3-month or 6-month subscription, you agree to pay the monthly fee for the full subscription term. These fixed-term plans cannot be cancelled early, paused, or refunded part-way through the term. Your card will be charged monthly for the duration of the commitment period.

At the end of the term, the subscription will either: Automatically renew on a month-to-month basis; or Renew for another fixed-term period (if that is the option you selected at checkout). You may update your payment details at any time.

Failed payments
If a payment fails, we may:

- Retry the payment;

- Contact you to update your details; and/or

- Pause or cancel your subscription until payment is resolved.

5. Introductory Offers & Free Gifts

From time to time, we may offer special bonuses, discounts, or free gifts for new customers (for example, a free gift when signing up to a 6-month subscription). Introductory offers are only available once per household, and only for new customers who have not previously subscribed to The Journaling Box.

These offers cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. If a subscription is cancelled, refunded, or disputed before the minimum commitment period is complete, we reserve the right to: Charge the retail value of the free gift; or Deduct the value of the gift from any refund (if applicable).

Introductory offers may change or end at any time and are only valid while advertised. 

6. Shipping and delivery

We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand.

Shipping fees (if any) are displayed at checkout.

Boxes are generally shipped between on the 18th of each month], though dates may vary during holiday periods or due to supplier or postal delays.

Once your order is lodged with the carrier, delivery times are outside our direct control. Any estimated delivery time is just that – an estimate.

7. Cancellations and changes

a) Subscription cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time after the minimum commitment period for your plan has been completed (for example, after the 3-month or 6-month term).

Monthly, non-fixed plans may be cancelled at any time.

Cancellations must be made via your account or by emailing us at [email protected]. To avoid being charged for the next box, cancellation must be completed before your next billing date.

b) Skipping or pausing

If we offer skip / pause options, you can use these via your account subject to any cut-off dates shown.

8. Refunds and returns

We want you to love your box; however, because of the nature of subscription boxes:

- We do not generally offer refunds or returns for: Change of mind; Items you already own; Preferences regarding colours, scents or brands.

I - f an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at [email protected] box within 10 days of receiving your box with photos and a description of the issue. We will assess and may offer: A replacement item (where possible); A partial refund or credit; or Another reasonable remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to these Terms and are not limited by them.

9. Gift orders

If you are purchasing a box as a gift:

- Please ensure the shipping details are correct.

- We may include pricing information inside the box only if necessary (e.g. customs forms or legal requirements).

10. Website Use

You agree not to:

- Use our site for any unlawful purpose.

- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or our systems.

- Copy or exploit any part of the website or its content without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the website (including logos, designs, images, graphics, copy and layout) is owned by or licensed to The Journaling Box.

You may not reproduce, distribute or adapt any content without prior written consent, except as permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss (including loss of profits, opportunity or data) arising from your use of our website or products.

- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with your purchase will not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant product or subscription.

- Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the website or subscription will constitute acceptance of any changes.
